🎨 Coloring Outside the Season

A Simple Way to Spark Christmas Magic All Year Long

Even though I’ve been out of school for over 40 years, when the school supplies arrive in stores, I’m like a kid again. I find myself wandering the aisles, picking up packages of crayons, remembering the joy of a fresh box and a blank page.

I keep a box of Crayola Twistables in my desk drawer—just for me. Last week, my granddaughter came over, and we got them out to color together. We sat at the table with our heads close, choosing colors and filling in lines. It was a small, ordinary moment that made me smile big.

And it reminded me how powerful something so simple can be.

From Idea to Printable Christmas Coloring Book

As I’ve been creating resources for The Santa Legacy Circle, I wanted to honor the younger members (and those who are still young at heart) with something that would spark imagination and creativity. Something that would slow down the world for just a little while.

That’s how The Santa Legacy Coloring Book was born.

It started with a single coloring page of Happy Elf standing beside the Christmas Magic Meter. But as the smiles began to grow, so did the pages—scenes from The Christmas Magic Meter book, Mama Claus, North Pole landmarks, twinkling stars, and cozy trees.

Now, it’s a printable coloring book you can use anytime—whether it’s a rainy afternoon, a homeschool break, or just a moment when your heart needs to smile.

🖼️ We’d Love to See Your Art

If your family colors one of the pages, we’d love to see it! Snap a photo and share it on social media with #TheSantaLegacy or tag @TheSantaLegacy on Facebook or Instagram. You can also email us directly—we truly treasure every creation.

Whether it’s Mama Claus in purple sparkles or the Magic Meter glowing with rainbow lights, we can’t wait to see how the North Pole looks in your imagination.

🌟 Why This Matters

At The Santa Legacy™, we believe that Magic is made in the little things—a crayon. A conversation. A shared smile.

And while the world may tell us that coloring books are for kids, we believe otherwise.

Color outside the lines.
Color outside the season.
The Magic is always there. You just have to make space for it.

Children Rarely Remember the Performance.

Many performers quietly feel pressure to become bigger, louder, funnier, and more entertaining in order to create memorable Christmas experiences. This heartfelt reflection explores the difference between performance and presence, why emotional safety and genuine attention create deeper connection, and how some of the most powerful moments of Christmas Magic happen not in the loudest interactions, but in the quiet moments where someone feels truly seen.

Marketing for Santa performers illustrated through a winter scene where Santa Claus struggles to pull a sleigh through deep snow toward a warmly lit North Pole workshop, while in the background another sleigh glides easily behind reindeer toward the glowing lantern beside the building, symbolizing different approaches to visibility and attracting the right families.

Leave the Lantern Lit

Many Santa performers and holiday characters struggle with marketing because it often feels loud, exhausting, or inauthentic.
